The NAWIC Education Foundation (NEF)
The NAWIC Education Foundation (NEF), established in 1972 by the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC), is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing construction education across all age groups. Headquartered in Fort Worth, Texas, NEF operates as a 501(c)(3) entity, offering tax-deductible contributions to support its mission.​​​
​​​NEF's core purpose is to educate the construction industry today and tomorrow. To achieve this, it provides a variety of educational programs, including self-study certification courses for professionals and hands-on initiatives for K–12 students. Notable programs include the Block Kids Building Competition, Create Design Build, and Design Drafting competitions, all designed to spark interest in construction careers among young learners.​
