Block Kids
Block Kids is a national building competition organized by the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) to introduce children in grades K–6 to the construction industry in a fun and engaging way. Using interlocking blocks (like LEGO®), string, foil, and poster board, participants are encouraged to build a construction-related project within a set time.

The goals of Block Kids include:
-
Sparking early interest in construction and related careers.
-
Promoting creativity and problem-solving.
-
Educating children about construction processes and tools.
-
Encouraging interaction with industry professionals (judges often come from the construction field).
The program is part of NAWIC’s broader mission to promote and support the advancement of women in construction by planting the seeds of interest early in children’s education.
